Australian Dingo (Canis dingo)

The Dingo is native to Australia and South East Asia, being a genetic descendant of the Asian Gray Wolf. Stories vary on how they were introduced to Australia, with the leading explanations that they were either brought across from Asia by the Aborigines, or accompanied Asian seafarers leter in Australia's history. Dingoes raom wild across the Australian Outback, and pure bred Dingoes bred Dingoes whine, growl and howl rather than bark as domestic dogs (Canis Familiaris) do. Major threats in Australia are from fearful humans and interbreeding with domesticated dogs introduced by Europeans.
